  • How is sport psychology different from regular psychology?
    Sport psychology specifically focuses on the mental aspects of athletic performance and well-being. While it uses some techniques from general psychology, it's tailored to the unique challenges and pressures of sports and competitive environments.
  • What qualifications should I look for in a mental performance consultant?
    Look for mental performance consultants with advanced degrees in sport psychology or related fields, and experience working with clients in your area of interest. There are many "gurus" marketing themselves as "mindset coaches" or "mindset mentors for athletes" that lack the proper training to deliver effective mental training. When sport psychology content is improperly delivered in-session, there can be detrimental outcomes. Do your research to make sure you find the right fit for your needs!
  • What age groups do you work with?

  • I'm not a professional athlete. Can I still benefit from your services?
    Absolutely. Mental performance techniques can benefit anyone looking to improve their performance, whether in sports, work, academics, or personal life. These skills are transferable across various domains.
  • What kinds of issues do you typically help with?
    Common issues include performance anxiety, lack of confidence, difficulty focusing, goal-setting, stress management, motivation, and recovery from setbacks or injuries.
  • How long does it usually take to see results?
    Results can vary depending on the individual and the specific issues being addressed. Some clients may notice improvements after just a few sessions, while others might require longer-term work for more complex issues. I typically reassess progress every 4-6 weeks.
  • Do I need to be physically present for sessions, or can they be done remotely?
    Both options are available. We offer in-person sessions as well as remote sessions via video call, depending on your preference and location. If you are interested in me working with your team, please contact me for more details.
  • How is working with you different from reading self-help books or watching motivational videos?

If it becomes evident that you would benefit from a mental health professional with a different skillset, I will be happy to connect you with someone who will best suit your needs.

    If you're experiencing persistent mental blocks, performance anxiety, or feel you're not reaching your full potential despite physical training, you might benefit from my services.
